Hello my name is Terri O'Connor and here is a little bit
about me and my Art.
I’m a Artist of Native
American and German Descent and come from a family of very talented brothers
and sisters. My Father the late Bill Miller, Stockbridge Munsee Band of
Mohican was also an artist and was my best art critic. My mother Lenore C.
Miller is still my biggest fan and I’m hers. My mother has always encouraged
me in my art. She has always told me to just go for it and to keep my heart
and mind open. She has always been my teacher in life.
I have always found
inspirations thru events in my life and thru the appreciation of what Mother
Earth sets before me. My main Specialty and love is pencil sketching
although I have worked other mediums including oils, pastels, crayons and,
charcoal.
My subjects range from facial
portraits to full body portraits. I also do Animal portraits for all those
animal lovers like myself. Most all of my original materials are of animals.
I especially have a fondness for birds of prey and wolves.
I feel you need to capture
your subjects by their eyes and expressions. Once you achieve that your
picture comes alive.
I mainly draw from
photographs that way; I feel I can bring out the true personality of my
subjects. Like everything around us each creature has its own variations and
that is why I have such a love for sketching in black and white.
Currently I am working on my
own original pieces and in the process of designing note cards. I will also
have some of my own indoor and outdoor Dream catchers. I plan on showing my
art at local arts and craft shows soon.
